Hesco U210 Special Threat Plate Set

The Hesco U210 delivers full AK-47 protection in one of the lightest and thinnest special threat plates available. Its testing covers the complete range of common 7.62×39 threats, from M67 and mild steel core M43 to 7.62×39 API armor piercing, plus 5.56 M193, M855/SS109, and M855A1. You get the same threat coverage as our M210 in a noticeably lighter and slimmer package.

Special threat means the U210 is tested against that defined list of rounds rather than carrying an NIJ level rating. Its advanced Spectra polyethylene build comes in at just 0.56 inches thick and about 4.2 lb in the SAPI Medium cut, roughly a pound lighter per plate than the M210. For anyone who wears armor for long stretches, that is a real difference in comfort and fatigue.

Each plate ships as a set of two for front and back coverage, wrapped in a water repellent Cordura finish.

If you want the same protection for less and can carry the extra weight, choose the Hesco M210. If you need true Level IV protection against 7.62×51 and .30-06 armor piercing, the Hesco 4800 is the lightest Level IV plate HESCO makes (NIJ .06 compliant), or the NIJ-certified Hesco 4601 if certification matters to you. For the absolute lightest plate of all, the Hesco Z210 saves more weight by dropping AP coverage.
