At 4.9 lb in the 10 x 12 shooter cut and just 0.69 inches thick, it is one of the lightest and slimmest stand-alone plates HESCO makes, so it sits low under a carrier and stays comfortable through a long day of wear.

Special threat means the L211 is tested against a defined list of common rifle rounds rather than carrying an NIJ level rating. It is multi-shot rated and stops the threats most people actually face, including 5.56 M193 and M855, 7.62×39, and 7.62×51 M80. Each plate uses a ceramic strike face wrapped in a durable 1000D Cordura finish and ships as a set of two for front and back coverage.
