The Hesco 3612C delivers the same certified NIJ Level III+ rifle protection as our 3612, with one key difference: instead of a Cordura nylon wrap, the 3612C is finished in a tough polyurea (LineX) coating for extra abrasion and impact resistance. If your plates see hard use, the LineX shell holds up to it.

Level III+ means the 3612C stops lead core and mild steel core rifle rounds, including 5.56 green tip M855 and 7.62x51 M80, but not armor piercing rounds, which require a Level IV plate. It is stand alone, so no soft armor backer is required, and the multi-curve shape wraps the torso for comfort.

The 3612C comes in a law enforcement cut and SAPI cut, at about 4.1 lb in the SAPI Medium size and 1.02 inches thick. The polyurea coating adds a small amount of weight over the 3612 in exchange for a more rugged finish. Every plate is NIJ 0101.06 certified and ships as a set of two for front and back coverage.

If you prefer a lighter Cordura wrapped plate with the same protection, choose the Hesco 3612. If you need armor piercing protection, step up to a Level IV plate such as the certified Hesco 4601 or the lighter, compliant Hesco 4800.
