Description

The Hesco L110 is a special threat side plate that adds rifle protection to the flanks of your plate carrier without weighing you down. At 1.7 lb in the 6x6 size and 2.3 lb in the 6x8, and just over half an inch thick, it is light enough to run on both sides all day. It is also buoyant, so it floats, a useful feature for maritime use.

Special threat means the L110 is tested against a defined list of common rounds rather than carrying an NIJ rating. It is single shot rated against 5.56 M193 and green tip M855, plus 7.62x39 including M67, mild steel core M43, and 7.62x39 API. It is stand alone, so no backer is required.

Side plates protect the area under your arms that a front and back plate cannot reach. The L110 is the lightest and most affordable way to close that gap with real rifle protection.

Each set includes two side plates. If you want a higher protection level on your sides, step up to the Level III+ Hesco 3110 or the Level IV Hesco 4101.

Best for: anyone who wants light, affordable side rifle protection, especially for maritime use.

Solid side plates. Good balance of cost, weight, and protection. No padding, but solid option!

Plates came quickly and were packaged very well, not much more you can ask for.

Looks like a quality product. Fits in vest. Hesco has great reputation. Staff at Midwest Armor has been awesome to work with after a vest vendor for a different company gave incorrect info to our officers that were fitted for new vests.
