The Hesco 4101 is a Level IV side plate, the most capable side protection HESCO makes. It is rated to defeat armor piercing rounds up to and including .30-06 M2 AP, along with 7.62x54R B-32 API and 7.62x51 M61, the same class of threats a Level IV torso plate handles, in a compact side format.

At 1.9 lb in the 6x6 and 2.6 lb in the 6x8, and 1.18 inches thick, it is heavier than our III+ and special threat side plates, which is the tradeoff for full armor piercing protection on your flanks. It is stand alone, so no soft armor backer is required, and it is also offered in an LV (ICW) version for a slimmer profile over soft armor.

If you run Level IV torso plates and want your sides protected to the same standard, the 4101 is the match.

Each set includes two side plates. For lighter side protection without armor piercing coverage, look at the Level III+ Hesco 3110 or the special threat Hesco L110.
