Description

GP 4x6x2 Single Mag Pouch 5.56 is a general purpose pouch for everyday use. Back pocket where you can slide in (1) 5.56 rifle mag using a Hook/Elastic insert. Running 7.62/.308 mags? Pick the 7.62/.308 insert on the add-on screen and it installs the same way.

GP 4x6x2 Single Mag Pouch (5.56) helps you increase the amount of usable space on your carrier, cummerbund, chest rig or belt system while also allowing you to carry more mags in a space saving solution that is also meant to fit in tight spots using only 2 columns and 6 rows of integrated laminate straps making it slimmer than our Double Mag GP Pouch for those extra gaps!

GP 4x6x2 Single Mag Pouch also works great on our SRV Split Chest Rig giving you a general purpose pouch and a dedicated mag space in one unit. Adding one to each side lets you carry a rifle mag along with medical or other small items without taking up additional front real estate.

Inside GP 4x6x2 Single Mag Pouch you will find internal Velcro loop on the walls for adding optional attachments like our 5-Cell Holder or similar hook attachments.

Construction and materials are good. No issue there. Sticks out quite a bit on a belt even when a mag isn't inserted in the rear opening. Incorporating a DIY shock cord/barrel lock around the pouch helped with the contents shifting around. Would be killer to have an integrated shock cord to cinch down when not filled completely. Something like the Ferro GPs. It has a rather large internal space, so that option would make it a bit more adaptive/streamlined when needed.

The pouch is very good, it has good usability, can allow you to put your gear in it well. I did an 18 mile norwegian ruck and used it for canteens and it stayed zipped the entire time. My only gripe is that when you would low crawl you can loose stuff inside of the pouches. I think a plastic mag retainer clip would be an awesome thing to look into for this product. An evolution of this product that would be amazing is a spud style bungee with a flap and then the mag slot behind it with a plastic/elastic retention piece. These are good on chest rigs even better on plate carriers because the pouch can slouch downward without a mag in the slot. I put these on a ferro concepts chesty V1. They have some fading already due to usage as well as microfraying from being dragged around in but other than that they are brick made. In another review people stated that the zippers can be seen on night vision devices but honestly it is hardly noticable in the video. A remedy is to put paint on em.

Big enough for a hemorrhage pouch but small enough so that you don’t overpack. Great for the price.

I got the improved model after having the OG for a while and the added rows of molle make this pouch outstanding. Og was good to but now it fits very snug on all my rigs

Does the job just as good as the JSTA pounch. And the fact that it comes with either a pistol or mag pouch is awesome. And it has a extra sewn in insert that’ll fit 2 G19 mags or 1 pmag in it.

Using this as a medical pouch with a magazine behind it. works perfectly for that and has taken a good amount of dives onto gravel with no signs of wear.

Overall, I like this pouch and it seems to be well made. I bought the 308 version. The elastic insert for the magazine is secured via Velcro, it seems to be a solid connection and holds SR-25 mags very snuggly. I tried putting AR-15 mags in this pouch and is was pretty loose; if they had holes or Velcro tabs to attach schock chord for retention, the 308 pouches would be just fine for 223 mags. These could easily be a universal design with one extra step. Regarding rigidity, I was concerned about how they would sit without a mag inserted but with a light load in the pouch, they seem to be just fine; I suspect some sagging may present itself with heavier loads in the pouch, but I plan to use this for smaller accessories and such. As a note separate from the product itself, I interacted with customer service and found them to be prompt and helpful.

Great pouch. Material and stitching are quality. Nice to be able to add a magazine in the back. You can also fit 2 ,20 round mags on the inside using the internal pocket and attaching a single mag elastic insert to the loop on the inside and still zip up the pouch.

Great pouch so far. Only complaint is it sags a little. I think it cause the MOLLE strap comes loose since it doesn’t secure. Maybe I’m not quite doing it right, but I have lots of MOLLE pouches that are similar in attachment and don’t sag.

Absolutely the best… in size, fit & finish… Overall A++++ zippers were great… material is great… no issues after daily hard use… I’ve tried other companies & they were too big or awkward… this pouch is perfect

It works great. I don't wear my kit everyday but with this pouch it carries my readymag for my rifle so I don't have to dig in my go bag for a mag for rapid deployments.

The pouch is great! Great stitching and materials. I like the option to add a magazine behind the pouch if I want to scale up my mag count. Without a mag in it, it lays flat and is out of the way. Great piece of gear!

Sits perfectly on my vest without sagging or coming loose. Other GP pouches don't come close

I LOVE this thing Think “Zero Real estate” GP pouch (a pouch that fits the same foot print as an existing pouch) hence the Mag pouch…

I have many pouches & I’ve tried many more, MidWestArmor’s dialed in on great quality combined w/ a great price. Mix all this & that then toss in leading innovation in different gear / products & you have what is; MidWestArmor.

Overall it's a great pouch and does it's job well. I like that it has a pocket inside the GP pouch. My only complaint is it sags forward and down. I think this could be fixed by making the opening of the mag insert and the MOLLE straps at the very top of the pouch like how JSTA pouches are so it could stabilize better.

I have it mounted on my military battle belt and love it. Great quality! Thanks

For the price, this pouch is stellar. My only gripe is 3 rows of molle on the bad isn’t quite enough IMO. 1 more row would go a long way. Pouch comes with elastic insert and it works decent but no retention. Was please to find a small flat pocket inside the pouch. Overall happy with the quality and no Gucci price tag.
