IMHO the perfect modern rendition of a TAPS style rig, laser cuts are perfect, stitching is flawless, mag reinsert with ease while still allowing for great retention. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends.

Great price for a very competitive chest rig. There is not much on the market like this and at a great price point. Very innovative and versatile rig.

This chest rig is fantastic. I purchased this rig in preparation for a run and gun. The run and gun was 9.5 miles in the Texas Hill Country. In the rig I carried 9 AR mags, 4 pistol mags, and two Tq’s. The rig was outstanding, it was comfortable, snug, and durable through woods and cactus. The zipper pocket was a huge plus to carry my phone, snacks, and keys. I highly recommend this rig. The only down side, I wish it came with the rear strap. That’s sold separate. I would prefer to just add it in the cost and it comes with the rig. I found out I needed it after the rig got delivered. I didn’t read the fine print.

I got this specifically for Gun Run and Brutality matches. Although a micro rig would work, I would rather carry more ammunition and stuff (e.g., use it more like an actual recon rig) to more closely simulate a combat or patrol load. I only had two issues, both very minor. First, the velcro on the front is coyote brown instead of matching the multicam. It's not a big deal, but I like to match patterns as much as possible. The second issue is getting magazines back *in*. This is a competition issue, where you need to drop a mostly full magazine and show clear; I don't want to drop them in a dump pouch because I'll need them again, but getting a magazine back into the sides of the rig while still on the clock is a challenge. Adding the Haley Strategic MP-2 will probably solve that issue for me. Magazine retention is fine without them, it's only about holding the slot open enough to get the magazine in quickly. Comfort is good, and I never noticed the minimal configuration I'm using disrupting any shooting positions. I have not tested it with a plate carrier yet.

She F¥€&$ bois! In all seriousness, this is a solid rig that rivals some of the other top grade A brands out there. I’m even going to say better than one I paid more than twice as much for and wait months of lead time to get. I am pretty stoked with this one. I’m hoping Midwest makes some variants, or adds some options upgrades to this so I’ll feel more inclined to give them more of my money “hint hint” i can’t recommend this enough. Buy it, the only thing you can regret is what color or what pattern you get. And at the price it’s at, just get another one.
