The all-weather paper sheds rain, sweat, mud, oil and grease instead of soaking it up. Write on it wet or dry with a pencil or a Rite in the Rain all-weather pen and it stays put. The pages carry the Universal pattern, standard lines with a faint dashed grid running the other way, so the same page works for notes, sketches, range cards and scaled drawings. Each notebook is 48 pages, 24 sheets, on a 4 5/8 by 7 inch sheet.

Stapled binding is what makes it so easy to carry. There is no spiral to snag or crush, so the notebook lies flat and slides into a cargo pocket, an admin pouch or the map pocket of a pack and bends with you instead of fighting back. The Field-Flex cover is a tough flexible shell that takes the weather and the wear so the pages inside do not have to.
