Ops-Core Helmet Counterweight

Hang a set of NVGs off the front of your helmet and the whole thing wants to tip forward. You end up cranking the retention down to fight it, and your neck pays for it by the end of the night. A counterweight on the back puts the load back over your spine so the helmet sits level with the retention set where it should be.

The Ops-Core Counterweight carries five 70 g removable weights in five elastic pockets, 0.85 lbs (385 g) with all of them loaded. You tune it to your setup: pull weights for a light monocular, run all five for a heavy binocular. Each pocket stretches to hold two weights or one weight and a spare AA, AAA or 123 battery, so the counterweight can carry your NVG power as part of the balance.

It mounts to the rear of the helmet with custom anchors that use the existing helmet holes and longer ballistic screws, which come in the box. A VELCRO Brand fastener on the back keeps it from shifting once it is on. A chemlight window and a loop patch for glint tape give you low light IFF on the back of your head.

It is built for Ops-Core FAST and Sentry helmets. Pair it with a Wilcox G24 Night Vision Mount up front and the Ops-Core FAST Helmet Cover if you run a cover.
