Leap MOLLE Carrier

The Leap MOLLE Carrier is a blend of an interchangeable set of products that work as part of a system while also being made with tougher materials which enable a longer lasting wear.  Our goal with this MOLLE plate carrier was to create an accessible carrier to fit a wide range of use cases while being 100% American Made, staying true to our mission.  This plate carrier setup comes with a plate carrier which includes the Leap Front Plate Bag, Leap Back Plate Bag, MOLLE Front Flap as well as our Elastic Velcro Cummerbund.  If you would like to mix and match different system parts be sure to check out our Leap MOLLE Carrier Base.

The Leap MOLLE Carrier Front Plate Bag features three rows of four column MOLLE Velcro which allow you to easily attach MOLLE pouches, placards, identifiers or your favorite patch.  The built in cable routing allows you to route cables for your communication needs while keeping everything nice and out of the way for easy access.

The Leap MOLLE Carrier Back Plate Bag comes in two options a MOLLE back which features 6 rows of MOLLE, 1 row with 4 columns and remaining 5 rows with 6 columns OR a completely slick Back Panel.  A flap covers the Velcro on the bag to avoid snagging while also allowing you to secure items in their place.  Additionally the bottom flop features a hidden map pocket with an easy to use pull tab.

Each Plate Bag features a 3D Sculpted back which adds comfort for your body-side while also allowing for airflow with the 3D Mesh backing for allowing cooling and release of heat during longer wears.

Cummerbund Support

The included cummerbund is our Elastic Velcro Cummerbund which allows for easy adjustability with two velcro attachments at each end as well as built in cell pockets.  The built in cells come in a 3 cell configuration.  Two of the cell pockets can fit your standard 5.56 Mags while the smaller cell can hold your IFAK or any other item you may need to carry for easy access from either side.  All the cells feature a pull tab that can be used to secure items or used to loop bungee for compatible accessories.

While this kit comes with the standard Elastic Velcro Cummerbund it will take any of the available Cummerbunds including those with First Spear TUBES™.

Plate Sizing

You can easily fit Shooters Cut, Simmer Cut or SAPI cut plates into the Leap Carrier.  Our plate bags were built to support a wide variety of plate thicknesses, sizes and weights.

Medium – up to 10” x 12.5”

Large – 10.25” x 13.25”

Extra Large – 11” x 14”

Maximum thickness 1.2”

Materials

Our carriers are made with higher grade materials for the purpose of ensuring a longer durability period.  Rather than focusing on just reducing weight or cost we focused on finding a balance that allows you to feel confident your gear will not fail while also giving you the flexibility of reducing wait all while being US Made.

Each plate bag body is made from 500D Cordura which provides ideal durability for long term use, wear and tear and will take the abuse of the harsh environments including water, dust and more abrasion resistant.

The back of the plate bags feature a 3D Sculpted foam that keeps your gear and plates off your body which allows for airflow and comfort for long term wear without feeling everything against your body.

In addition to the 3D Sculpted foam the back features a 3D Mesh that not only helps keep your body cool with its natural ability to allow for airflow but it also reduces weight compared to 2D fabrics. 

Coming in at just 1.8lbs the Leap is a lightweight plate carrier that offers a great durable product that will last through everything you put it through.
