Stops 7.62x51MM (.308 Winchester), 7.62x39MM (AK-47), M193 and below.

Buoyancy

MASS III armor plates are not floatation devices but let’s face it; wearing heavy plates around water poses a danger just as serious as a bullet. You need something you can rely on to protect your life but not weigh you down, no matter where you are. The MASS III products are light and comfortable, allowing you to wear them for extended periods of time while on patrol. They feature positive buoyancy so that your armor does not become an anchor in the water. All of the MASS line can be counted on for extreme environmental ruggedness and comfortable wear.

Unique Proprietary Coating

The MASS III line features a triple-layer proprietary coating.

Submersion Test

The MASS III line has been submerged for 3 full hours in salt water, followed by 3 full hours in gasoline, with no adverse effects of any kind.

Burn Test

We took a benzene torch to one of our plates for a full 30 seconds. When we removed the torch, the plate extinguished itself. The plate was then shot and there was no degradation in ballistic performance.

Drop-Safe

The MASS III is completely drop-safe.
